Hi there thor owners, today in our 2020 thor wind sport we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install sumo springs for the front axle. So we got our sumo springs installed, we're going to hit our test course here and see the difference. Last we drove this since when we had put the sways bars on it and that helped reduce sway but it did still have some sways. So we're hitting our bumps course once again now with the sumos on there and we're doing our own even bump section here. And you can definitely tell a difference with sumos on there. We hit the bumps, it's a little bit smoother than it was before, it's a little bit more even, even though we're hitting only a single bump here. more

So, these SumoSprings are gonna be designed for the front axle, but there are kits available for the rear as well. Now the SumoSprings are a very popular upgrade here, a very popular option to upgrade your motorhome because they have a number of different benefits. Number one, with these big heavy motorhomes these things are very boxy they're not aerodynamic therefore when we're out on the highway we get these large gusts of winds. We're gonna experience a lot of sway. Same thing goes if we make any evasive maneuvers that really takes a lot of a white knuckle gripping and driving to get ahold of your rig here. more

And this is what our SumoSprings look like when they're installed. It connects between our frame on our vehicle and then it sits on top of the leaf spring on our rear axle here. And this is gonna help us out in just about every aspect of our rear suspension here, whether it's smoothing out our ride and whenever we hit any bumps, this is gonna help absorbed some of that impact. It's gonna work with your shock absorbers and the rest of your suspension to minimize the amount of vibration impacts you feel inside the vehicle there that can extend the life of all of these components as well, because some of that is gonna be absorbed into this, which is gonna relieve stress on the rest of your components here. more

Hi there, Thor owners. Today on your 2020 Thor Outlaw, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings for the front axle. And this is what our SumoSprings look like when they're installed. We do currently have our vehicle lifted with the leveling jack. So, you could see that it's a two-piece system here, and that's really nice cause that means we have unlimited suspension travel here in the front. So, if we're driving down the road and we hit a pretty big pothole, the wheel over here on this side could easily dip down into that pothole and it's, it can separate from this top layer. more

SumoSprings Rebel Front Axle Helper Springs Installation - 2014 Thor Windsport Motorhome- Video
Hi there Thor owners today and your 2014 Thor Windsport we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper springs for the front axle. This is what our SumoSprings are going to look like when it's installed, when you've got your suspension lifted up. You can see that they are two separate pieces, which allows your suspension to have further range of travel. This is nice because your SumoSprings are never going to be fighting the rest of your suspension components when they need to separate apart. But when they collapse and come together, let's say whenever you go over a bump or a pothole, the spring will compress here and provide additional support to the rest of your suspension so you won't notice so much of that road shock inside the cabin. It also helps to minimize sway because the springs will be compressing, trying to push it back to its normal ride position.Since there's one on each side, as the motor home wants to tip to one side, it'll push up and once it gets up to the top and wants to go to the other side, the seamless spring over there is ready to contact to push it back straight again. more

Today on our 2016 Thor Windsport, we're going to be installing SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the front axle.This is what our SumoSprings look like when they're installed. As you can see it's a two-piece design, giving it an infinite amount of suspension travel, so you don't have to worry about overextending your suspension. The SumoSprings are going to compress as you hit bumps and this compression is going to provide you with a smoother ride, but it's also going to make the vehicle more stable. What this means for you as the driver, you're going to have an easier time maintaining control of the vehicle and you're gonna have less fatigue when you get to your location. Hey there, road warriors. Today on your 2014 Thor Challenger, we're going to be installing Sumosprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the front axle.And this what our springs look like when they're installed. They're going to provide jounce support, where your jounce bumpers used to be. What this is going to do for you, is it's going to provide an overall smoother ride, as well as, to help eliminate sway, and provide more control over the vehicle.It does this, by working with your existing suspension system to help support the load that is above it. Now it doesn't increase the amount of weight you can carry on your vehicle, just how much that it's going to help assist your suspension.It's an upgrade over your factory jounce bumper, which normally doesn't have contact between your frame and your suspension, unless you've completely bottomed out. These springs will compress up to 80% percent from their normal height down, providing load carrying support the entire length of travel.What's nice about the springs being able to collapse and provide support like this, is that you will get that support the entire motion of travel, and it's going to be a lighter, softer support when at higher travel, and it's going to progressively become more and more supportive as you compress it, as opposed to the jarring hit from your factory jounce bumper.It's a two piece design, so you have an infinite amount of suspension travel. more

Today on our 2017 Thor Hurricane, we're going to be installing Sumo Springs Rebel Custom helper springs for the front axle. These front suspension enhancements will help provide you with an overall more comfortable and safer driving experience. They're going to absorb some of the impacts on the road, making it easier to maintain straight line of the vehicle. Today on our 2018 Thor ACE motor home we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TFR53A. Now a lot of different things can affect how our motor homes drive, whether it be a big gust of wind pushing on the side or if it's uneven terrain. Or perhaps we're flat towing a vehicle behind it. All of those things can put a lot of stress and pressure on our rear suspension, especially because of how tall our motor homes our. Especially in the back, since most bathrooms and bedrooms are going to be at the back of the motor home having all that extra weight.Our Timbrens are going to provide us the support we need for all those different things. They're all gonna work somewhat similar because when you're driving on uneven pavement they're all going to help reduce that sway, that's a big thing that sway, you'll hit a pothole and it'll just start to rock this'll help keep that down at a minimum. On a windy day when it's pushing against your vehicle, pushing you around this will also help keep your vehicle straight.Now all of these options are gonna help reduce sag on your vehicle when it's loaded down, they're also gonna help improve ride comfort. What all of this adds up for you is that you're gonna have a more comfortable ride with less fatigue that's gonna be a safer journey to get where you need to go but there are gonna be some differences and some are gonna suit your needs better than others.The least amount of maintenance is gonna be tied between our Super Springs and our Timbren as they require no maintenance whatsoever while our Air Lift's are gonna require some maintenance to upkeep the proper air pressure. When it comes to adjustability that's gonna go to our Air Lift because it not only adjusts up and down for more loads like our Super Springs but they can also be adjusted independently from side to side. more
